Homeopathy

Homeopathy is the system of medical treatment that Dr. Cannizzaro uses. Homeopathy stimulates the natural healing abilities inherent in our bodies. The homeopathic approach utilizes several hundred substances that have been studied as to their effects on the human and animal body. Some of these are common herbs; others are from poisonous plants; some remedies are made from toxins and venoms. The medicine that will be chosen will most closely match the individual pattern of illness that your pet is showing.

The method of homeopathy treatment is to stimulate the process of healing through temporarily establishing an artificial disturbance of health with the medicines. This disturbance, when similar to the disturbance caused by the disease, makes the body work harder at trying to get well. The healing changes that follow are the result of this stimulation.

The homeopathic doctor carefully evaluates the changes that occur after use of the homeopathic medicine. In this way, the patient can be guided to recovery of their health over the weeks or months necessary for the body to repel the disease and regenerate damaged tissue.

To gain a better understanding of and learn more about what to expect from homeopathy, we encourage you to read the free ebook “Beyond Flat Earth Medicine, An Essential Guide for the Homeopathic Patient” by Dr. Dooley. Download your copy from his website.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is performed by stimulating specific points on the body, usually by using needles. They can also be stimulated with a small current, massage, heat, injections, implants or other methods. These points have the ability to alter various conditions in the body in order to achieve a desired effect. Acupuncture has been used successfully for nearly 5000 years on animals as well as humans.

The effects of acupuncture include:

  • Restoring balance by specifically treating deficiencies in the system
  • Increase of circulation to an area
  • Decrease of inflammation
  • Release of endorfins (the body’s natural pain killers)
  • Relief of muscle spasms
  • Stimulation of nerves
  • Stimulation of the body’s immune system
  • Release of hormones
  • Release of substances in the brain and spinal cord

Nutrition

By feeding your animal fresh foods, you can better control the quality of the diet. Experience has shown that many health problems improve simply by switching from highly processed commercial foods, based on the undesirable by-products of the human food industry, to a well-balanced home-prepared diet. Vitamins and supplements bring a home-prepared meat, vegetable and grain diet to recommended standards.
